What are we hiring for?


We are looking for an Accountant to manage and streamline our financial processes. You will ensure greater speed and real-time data accuracy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for key financial operations, including Accounts Payable & Receivable, Bookkeeping, and Bank Reconciliation, providing essential support to the Finance Operations Specialist.

This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of experience, eager to handle the groundwork of daily financial operations while ensuring compliance with legal regulations. Experience with U.S. accounting practices or U.S. companies will be considered an advantage. Occasional work at our Lisbon hub may be required.


What you will be doing


  • Manage and record all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and properly documented;
  • Support Accounts Payable and Receivable processes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate reporting of cash flow and bank balances.
  • Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, maintaining financial records and ledgers.
  • Help with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements as needed.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Support external audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights for process improvements.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Assist with any ad-hoc financial projects as required.

Job requirements

You aspire to join an energetic team in a fast-growing startup to build and grow products at scale. Your desired skills and experience include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related role;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proven experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bookkeeping, and Bank Reconciliation.
  • Ability to manage financial transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Experience with U.S. accounting practices or working with U.S. companies is a plus.
  • Lisbon Metropolitan Region Resident 
  • Fluency in English.

Process and Classify New Vendors
Provide Treasury and Forex Support
Participate in Internal Budgeting Processes
Liaise with external stakeholders (banks, vendors and external teams)
Understand Intercompany Transactions


75 days:
Oversee Monthly Closing (with External Teams)
Participate in Vendor Oversight (Procurement)
Manage Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable and Bookkeeping (AP/AR)
Participate in Budget Reporting
Participate in Monthly Management Reporting
