We combine the simplicity and greatness of Apple products by creating utility and productivity apps that make people's lives easier. Our portfolio contains Translate Now & Calculator Air, both the fastest-growing apps in their category. Our apps have been downloaded over 100 million times and received over 2 million ratings with an average of 4.7 stars.

What are we hiring for?

At Air Apps, we're an innovative app startup dedicated to creating top-notch iOS applications. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences and cutting-edge designs that align with Apple's design principles. We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic team in Portugal, where you'll have the opportunity to grow, learn, and make a significant impact on our products.

As a Designer for our Monetization team, you will collaborate with the Subscription Manager, CRM Manager (App Marketing), and other team Monetization team members to ensure rapid and flexible design solutions. This role is perfect for someone who is interested in creating the design for email marketing and in-app campaigns, with a strong passion for iOS-centric design. You'll bring people to our app through your art.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Create high-fidelity designs for various user journeys, including paywalls, in-app promotions, and SDK frameworks.
  • Assist in the development of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG).
  • Work closely with the Subscription Manager and CRM Manager to ensure designs meet the evolving needs of our campaigns.
  • Produce quick turnarounds for designs as new iterations or tweaks may be needed based on campaign performance, experimental feedback, and A/B tests.
  • Ensure designs prioritize user engagement and conversions, following best practices in UX/UI design.
  • Stay involved in the deployment and performance of Journeys, making design adjustments as needed to maximize impact.
  • Use tools like Figma for high-fidelity mockups and design mapping to ensure clarity and collaboration within the team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in iOS design, ensuring our designs are cutting-edge and align with Apple's design standards.
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other designers, developers, product managers, and external stakeholders

Expected Daily Activities

  • Join daily standups with the Monetization team to align on the day’s tasks and priorities.
  • Design new variations of Journeys or paywalls based on current marketing campaigns or experimental feedback.
  • Make quick adjustments to existing designs when data from Journeys requires changes, such as moving ad placements or adjusting UX for better performance.
  • Check-in with the Subscription and CRM managers to gather insights and requests for the next iteration or new campaign needs.
  • Organize and update design components in Figma, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to the latest versions.
  • Attend design review sessions where feedback from stakeholders is discussed, and necessary adjustments are made.
  • Collaborate with the team to review Journey performance metrics and plan for iterative improvements

  • 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a focus on iOS-centric design principles.
