What are we hiring for?

We are looking for a senior member of the marketing team for our Translation Studio - a talented and enthusiastic Mobile Monetization, Engagement, and Retention Specialist.

You will join our team and help us maximize the revenue and user engagement for our mobile applications, with a special emphasis on our translation segment. Your main responsibility will be to develop and execute strategies that elevate user experience, boost subscriptions, and foster long-term user retention, specifically within the realm of our translation apps.

The Translation Studio comprises our translation suite of apps, covering our Apple featured, and leading translator app, TranslateNow, and also TranslateNow - Keyboard and TranslateNow - Photo.

You will work with a close-knit team of Paid User Acquisition, ASO, Product Management, and Design.

What are we looking for?

  1. Strategy Development and Implementation: Devise and execute comprehensive monetization strategies tailored to our mobile apps, focusing on user journeys, subscription models, and in-app advertising.

  2. User Behavior Analysis: Utilize advanced analytics tools to closely monitor user behavior, identifying key trends and patterns to inform strategy adjustments, and optimize monetization efforts.

  3. Engagement Tactics: Implement and manage engagement strategies, including personalized push notifications, in-app messages, aimed at boosting user activity and engagement.

  4. Retention Strategy: Develop, refine, and oversee effective retention strategies, employing techniques like user segmentation, and personalized content to reduce churn rates and increase user lifetime value.

  5. Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.

  6. Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Collaborate with product development, marketing, design, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive approach to user experience and monetization strategy.

  7. A/B Testing and Experimentation: Regularly perform tests on various aspects such as pricing models, trial length, paywalls, and user interfaces to continuously improve effectiveness.

  8. Performance Reporting: Regularly report on key metrics related to monetization, engagement, and retention, providing insights and recommendations.

  9. Maximize Profitability Pricing Strategy: Develop and manage effective pricing strategies and revenue streams taking into account user demographics, behavior, and market trends to maximize profitability.

  10. Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all monetization activities comply with legal standards and best practices, including user privacy and data protection laws.

Job requirements

Your desired skills and experience include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in mobile/online marketing (either demand- or supply-side) with good knowledge of the industry landscape.

  • Extensive knowledge of iOS ad monetization, engagement, and retention tech, tools, and systems from an operational and strategic level.

  • Deep understanding of digital advertising, in-app purchases, and subscription models.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.

  • Having a testing mindset with the ability to make data-driven/informed decisions and recommendations.

  • Passionate about ad monetization, performance marketing, and industry trends.

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
